Answers

 

Registration & Logging In

  1. Registering with Musmat is as simple as ABCD. Simply fill out all the required information in our registration form.

  2. There are three standard types of Membership :Monthly Membership, Six Monthly Membership and Yearly Membership.

  3. Once you have registered with Musmat and made your payment your membership will normally be made live within 48 hours. To Login simply type the username & password (that you chose when you registered) into the Login box on our home page. Alternatively please click here to login.

  4. If you are having problems logging in please check that you are doing the following

    1. Entering the username and password you chose when you initially registered.
    2. Make sure you are entering your username and password in exactly the same case that you registered with. i.e if you entered your username/password in CAPITALS then you must enter them in CAPITALS as well. The same goes for lowercase letters.

    Please also note: if you have just registered with us, your account will NOT be activated until at least 48 hours. This is due to all our applications being screened to ensure the quality of the service provided to our members.

  5. We ask you to logout off our site once you have finished using it, for your own security reasons. Logging out keeps your account and details secure from access by unauthorised people. To logout simply click the Log Out button at the top right hand of corner of your 'Member Area' page/s.

  6. As a free member you obtain the following facilities:


    1. Your own login account details.
    2. The ability to buy contact credits and initiate contact with other members (Please note as a "free member" you will only be given Email addresses of contacts you request. To obtain telephone numbers you will have to upgrade to a "full member").
    3. The ability to add / delete your photograph to our website.
    4. The ability to change your username / password.
    5. The ability to cancel your membership.

    Who can become a Free Member:

    • Free Memberships are not normally available, and they do not have the same range of facilities as a full membership (see above). On occassions where Free Memberships are made available, it is usually as part of a special promotion, for a limited time, and for a specific country.

 

Passwords

  1. If you have forgotten your password we will email it to you at the email address you registered with. To retrieve your password simply click here

  2. Yes it is possible to change your username and password. To Change your username and password, please Login and then click on the 'Change Username/Password' link on the left hand side of the screen.

  3. Choose a username/password which you believe will be hard for others to guess. We recommend that your username and password should not be the same and should consist of a combination of both letters and numbers. Never disclose your username/password to anyone who you do not wish to access your Musmat account.

 

Contacting Other Members

Contacting Other Members

  1. Yes. To contact other members you must first be a member yourself. This is to ensure our website caters to only to those who are serious about getting married!


  2. There are two ways in which you can get contact details of other members:

    First Method:

    1. Search for suitable members to contact from the search box on the front page of the website.
    2. Note down the ID numbers of those members you want to contact.
    3. Login to your membership account.
    4. Select the "Get Contact Details" option.
    5. Type in the ID numbers.
    6. Click "Get Contacts"

    The contact details of the members will then be displayed onscreen.

    Second Mehod:

    1. Login to your account
    2. Enter your search criteria in the Search box and click the Search Button.
    3. When you see a description you like, put a check in their checkbox (located at the bottom right hand corner of each description)
    4. After you have chosen ALL the contacts required from the search pages, only THEN click the 'GET CONTACTS' button.
    5. You will now be on a verification page. Please check here that the contacts shown on this page are indeed the ones you have requested. If you notice a description that you dont remember choosing or do not want anymore, then simply uncheck the box.
    6. Now simply click the 'GET CONTACTS' button.

    The contact details of the members will then be displayed onscreen.

    You can view the last 20 contact details you have taken by logging into your account and selecting the link 'View Contacts Previously Taken'.

Photographs

  1. Our Statistics have shown that members who add a photograph receive upto 7 times more reponses than members with no photograph. Adding a photograph also means members who contact you already know how you look and this means there is a greater chance of the both of you 'clicking'
  2. To add your photo to the Musmat site you need to have a digital image of yourself. You can acquire a digital image of yourself either by using a digital camera and transferring the photo to your computer or by taking a normal photograph of yourself and then scanning it into your computer using a scanner.
  3. To upload your photograph please login. After logging in simply click the "Add Photo" link on the left side of the page.
  4. Any images uploaded to our site must be in JPG format (i.e the photograph must have an extension of .jpg). This is to ensure the highest quality of photographs on our site. If your photograph is in any other format (for e.g GIF,BMP etc) you can easliy convert it into JPEG form using any graphical application such as Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft PhotoEditor and many others.
  5. Once your photograph has been uploaded to Musmat, it will take upto 48 hours before it appears online.
  6. To Delete/Change your the photograph you have on our website simply login to your Musmat account using your username and password. Once in the member area click the Delete/Change your photograph link and follow the instructions.
  7. The size of the photograph you upload must not exceed 75Kb. We have this limit in order to ensure a quick download time and so that people are not kept waiting too long when wanting to view your photograph. If you find the size of your photograph is greater than 75Kb, it can be reduced (optimized) by most graphical applications such as Adobe Photoshop etc
  8. We'd be more than happy to assist you in getting your photograph online. Simply email us your photograph stating your ID Number. Please make sure you email us from the email address you registered with Musmat (for verification purposes).

Creating Your Profile

  1. Creating your Musmat profile is a breeze!! Just simply fill in our online registration form.

  2. Yes. However rest assured we have made our registration form as simple and short as possible. The whole process should take no longer than 5 minutes.

  3. Please note that after registering with us, your profile will be online and available for other Musmat users to see within 48 hours. This is to allow for screening of profiles to ensure they are of the highest quality and from people who are genuinely looking for a marriage partner.

  4. To edit your profile simply log on to your Musmat account using your username and password. Once your are in the Members Area you will see an 'UPDATE DETAILS' link on the left hand side of the page. Simply click on this and follow the instructions.

  5. It is not neccessary to provide permission for your telephone number to be given out to other members. If you prefer you can make only your email address available to other members who request it. However we recommend that you make your phone number available to ensure maximum response to your profile.

  6. For maximum response to your profile, please read 5 tips to increase your response.

  7. The photographs of members shown on our home page are shown randomly. Provided you have uploaded your photograph to Musmat, no doubt you will see you photograph appearing on our front page from time to time.

  10. If you cannot see your profile on our website anymore, the most likely reason for this is that your Musmat membership has expired. To renew your membership simply login to your Musmat account, and click the renewal link on the left hand side of the page and follow the instructions.

Newsletter

  1. The Musmat newsletter contains tips on maximising the responses to your profile, matrimony tips, ideal places to honeymoon in, information about the latest features and additions to the Musmat site and how to find your life partner more easily and efficiently. Also hear about the success stories of our other Musmat members and how they found their partner.

  2. To subscribe to our newsletter simple click here and enter your email address and click the subscribe button.

  3. To unsubsribe from our newsletter simply click here and enter the email address you entered when you subscribed with us.

     

Contact Credits

  1. Contact Credits are needed to get contact details (email/telephone) of our other Musmat members. It takes one contact credit from your account for you to contact another member. It does NOT delete any contact credits from your account when another member contacts you. The minimum contact credits you can order is 5 - and you do not need to use them all at once - you can use the remaining ones at any time during your membership.

  2. To buy more credits, simply login to your Musmat account and click on the 'Buy More Credits' Link on the left hand side of the page. Then follow the instructions.

  3. No. If you have requested a Musmat member's contact previously, you will NOT be charged if you request it again.

 

Payment Options

  1. Musmat accepts payment in the following ways:


    1. Online line payment - Visa, Visa Delta, Visa Electron, Visa Purchasing, Mastercard, JCB, Switch, Solo
    2. By Post - We accept cheques and postal orders.


  2. Yes, 100% Secure! Your credit card information is entered on a Secure Server using SSL Technology and 128 Bit Encryption which is one of the highest level of security provided by websites. The information is transmitted in an encrypted fashion to our payment gateway and your card is charged online. Finally, to provide the highest level of security, we do not store your credit card information on our online server at any time.
  3. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express
  4. After registering with Musmat please allow upto 48 hours for your profile to appear online if you have paid by credit card, or approximately one week if you have posted a cheque/postal order. This is to allow for the screening of profiles and membership details to ensure the service continues to operate at the highest quality and continues to attract people who are genuinely looking for a marriage partner.
